Minister Lecce and MPPs Martin and Anand Host Cultural media Roundtable on Ontario’s COVID-19 Vaccine Program

On Thursday, Minister Stephen Lecce, the MPP for King-Vaughan, along with Ontario’s Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health, MPP Robin Martin, and Mississauga – Malton MPP Deepak Anand hosted a virtual cultural media roundtable to provide an update and discuss Ontario’s COVID-19 vaccination plan. As Ontario moves to the next phase of the vaccination plan, Minister Lecce emphasized the vital role in bringing important and up-to-date information to our communities.
During the call, MPP Robin Martin responded to questions on the Government’s vaccine program and outlined how Phase Two is designed to protect those at risk of serious illness and to stop the virus from spreading. MPP Martin also provided details on the new Provincial Booking System which launched on March 15th, encouraging anyone 80 and over to go online and use the system to make their vaccination appointments. Although Ontario’s capacity to administer vaccines is steadily increasing, MPP Deepak Anand again urged the federal government to step up their efforts and ensure the supply is being delivered to the people of Ontario.
